History/Background:
Nala was born around the same time as Simba to a lioness named Sarafina. She became great friends with Simba and the two always ended up causing trouble together. When they were very young, Simba and Nala snuck off to an elephant graveyard. They were chased by the three hyenas, Bonzai, Shenzi and Ed. Mufasa, Simba's father, came to the rescue and chased the hyenas off. Nala was lead back home by Zazu.
Not long later, Nala was gathered with the other lionesses to hear Scar's speech about Mufasa's death. She heard that Simba had also perished from the ordeal. She grew and lived among the other lionesses under Scar's rule.
A few years later Scar approached Nala and told her that he intended to make her his mate. Scared and angry, Nala left the Pridelands in search of some outside help. She stumbled onto the oasis and she found and hunted Timon and Pumbaa. Simba came to the rescue and soon discovered that the opposing lioness is his long-lost friend. He explained that he was found by Timon and Pumbaa and that he had adopted their philosophy of "Hakuna Mutata" - which means no worries. Nala explained how Scar destroyed the Pridelands and that it was Simba's responsibility to claim the throne. Simba refused to do this, but after an encounter with his father's ghost, he decided to confront his uncle. Nala, Timon, and Pumbaa soon followed and participated in the violent battle with Scar.
Once the battle was won, Simba became the king of Pride Rock and Nala became queen. Together they had a daughter who them named Kiara.

Role Playing Sample:
Nala breathed slowly and silently, her bright green eyes never moving from the massive heard of wildebeest before her. Her heart was pounding so hard and fast that she was surprised it didn't burst from her chest. She was so close now... So close to catching her first meal of the day.
The hunt earlier that day had been a disaster. Usually her and Kiara, her daughter, made an excellent hunting team. But something seemed to be distracting Kiara this morning and she scared off more than she killed. Nala had sent her back home and decided to hunt by herself. Now was finally her chance. She had been watching the large hoofed animals from a tall patch of amber savannah grass for what seemed like hours.
She breathed again, stopping abruptly as some of the grasses tickled her nose. She was just about ready to strike...one animal was slowly moving closer to her...it would be any second now...
Suddenly a small bird flew down from a nearby tree and landed within a foot from Nala. Quickly realizing its mistake, the bird let out a loud alarming call and scrambled to fly away. Nala had lost her chance... The call from the bird had sent the wildebeest into a stampeding frenzy. She dashed from her cover as quickly as she could, but she was no match for the hoofed animal's speed and large horns. Not wanting to risk serious injury, Nala slowed down to a bouncing jog, trying to burn off her frustration.
